Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. Following her film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to appear as a anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Photographer approached Doody Doody decided to take up modeling and subsequently a career in commercial modelling. Doody was extremely strict about not doing the glamorous work or doing nude. This rule extended into the acting profession. If she came to the director's attention in a James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was listed as one of the 12 most promising new Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Doody was just turning 18 when she took on the character of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody was seen as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. She played Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody was in the British series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The show was inspired by The Hitler Diaries publication scam. Following her move to Hollywood, Doody became an international star. The role she played was Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody played a role in the 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony in recognition of an award. She also appeared in 2004 alongside Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also on Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 publication about the Holocaust. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). In 2011, she was to play the lead role in The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. In 2011 she began the first season of two on the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018, she received the Almeria the tierra de cine prize and she received an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
